passwds.me is a free password generator. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the service works.

Passwords are never stored

Generated passphrases are created on-the-fly and sent directly to your browser. They are not logged, saved, or stored on our servers. Once you leave the page, the passwords exist only if you copied them.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal information. We do not require accounts, logins, or email addresses to use the service.

Standard server logs may record IP addresses and request timestamps for security and abuse prevention (e.g., rate limiting). These logs are not shared with third parties and are retained for a limited period.

Third-party services

• OpenAI API— We send a short prompt to OpenAI to generate random word phrases. No user data is included in these requests. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to their processing.
• Google AdSense — We may display ads provided by Google. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can learn more at Google's advertising policies. You can opt out of personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.

passwds.me itself does not set cookies. Third-party services (such as Google AdSense) may set their own cookies. See their respective privacy policies for details.

Children's privacy

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
